Ana María Álvarez (48h Open House Barcelona)
Architect and urban planner. Ana edits academic articles and writes texts to disseminate architecture. She integrates marketing and strategic management into everything she does, she is amazed by professional networks ('online' and 'offline'), and she sees ---everywhere--- opportunities to improve communication about architecture, design, and cities. Ana has been editor-in-chief of 'La Tadeo Dearte' ---the academic journal of the Faculty of Arts and Design of Utadeo in Bogotá--- and created the communication department of Pinearq, a prestigious architecture studio in Barcelona. Currently, in addition to writing for architects and collaborating with 'Spanish Architects' magazine, she is the communication director of the cultural association 48h Open House Barcelona, organizer of the city's most important annual architecture festival.
