Being such a long competition, it seems that the America's Cup has already passed, but it still has the most important chapters to resolve. This Thursday the final begins between the two teams aspiring to win the historic prize, Ineos Britannia and Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. They will not have enough with being the winners of this phase, prior to the final showdown with Emirates Team New Zealand.

One day before the regattas begin on the Barcelona coast, the skippers of Ineos and Luna Rossa, Ben Ainslie and Jimmy Spithill, have shown eagerness to get back on the water, convinced that it will be a tough phase and that, whoever passes, will be a good rival to snatch the trophy from the New Zealanders. "We are very hungry," remarked Spithill, an Australian sailor who has already won the competition twice. "It's a great opportunity and we are very excited about what's to come," Ainslie added.

Neither of the two countries has ever won the America's Cup and they are eager to get closer. "It motivates us a lot," acknowledged Ainslie, skipper of a team that managed to finish first in the round robins that eliminated the French, the Orient Express Racing Team. A few days ago, the Swiss, the Alinghi Red Bull Racing, and the Americans, the New York Yacht Club American Magic, fell.

"If we do our best, we will win. If not, we will lose. It's that easy," summarized sailor Francesco Bruni of Luna Rossa, "the America's Cup is a dream and we have an opportunity now." From this Thursday until next Saturday, October 5, the first team to get seven points will be the one to face the Kiwis in the, now yes, last chapter of the America's Cup, with its start scheduled for Saturday, October 12.
