Mango strengthens its presence on Diagonal. Just one week after it inaugurated a large flagship store, the fashion chain has announced the opening of its first establishment dedicated to home decor products on the same avenue. It will be located very close to Francesc Macià square, in a 400-square-meter space that the brand previously occupied with women's clothing.

The opening of the first Mango Home is scheduled for early April and will involve the hiring of 15 employees. It is part of the fashion chain's strategic plan for the next two years. With an investment of 600 million euros until 2026, Mango plans to open 500 new stores in all markets where it is present, focusing on the most important ones, such as Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Mango's home decor line, launched in 2021, could only be found until now in some of the brand's establishments, with a small selection of products, and in the online store, reaching about thirty markets, especially in Europe and the United States. "This opening is a key step in the evolution of Mango Home," says its director, Nuria Font. Since its creation four years ago, home products have doubled their revenue, with the forecast to accelerate their growth from now on with the opening of the first stores exclusively dedicated to this line.

The new Mango store will be located in the city's interior design golden mile, on a Diagonal that concentrates major brands in the sector such as Ikea, Kave Home, Casa Viva, or Pilma. The Mango flagship, located in the red building designed by architects Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, is one of the few exceptions. In addition to its large size, with an area of 1,500 square meters, it is characterized by bringing together for the first time in the city all business lines ---women, men, children, and teenagers---, except for home products.

In Barcelona, Mango has 23 establishments. It was in 1984 when its founder, Isak Andic, recently deceased, opened his first store, in a small premises. Located on Paseo de Gràcia, at number 65, it is still open and is now dedicated to clothing for teenagers. Currently, the brand has almost 15,000 square meters of commercial space in its hometown, with recent renovations in the establishments on Rambla Catalunya, the former Alexandra Cinema, and in the Westfield Glòries, La Maquinista and Maremagnum shopping centers.

In Spain as a whole, Mango has more than 400 stores, a figure that rises to 2,800 worldwide. With a presence in 120 markets, the brand had a turnover of 3.1 billion euros in 2023 and has set itself the goal of reaching sales of 4 billion euros in 2026.
