La Rambla is determined to attract Barcelonians again. With this objective, Amics de La Rambla has programmed a new edition of the free routes that propose to locals to discover the avenue from another perspective, coinciding on this occasion with the Christmas holidays.

Between December 21 and January 3, 14 routes will walk along La Rambla, emphasizing various aspects of the avenue and, especially, its history. In its fifth edition, a new route is launched, precisely linked to the past: La Rambla, a journey through time, which will review various eras of the emblematic street.

The routes, for which prior registration is required through Amics de La Rambla, look at the avenue from different points of view. The 14 routes include six different proposals: La Rambla of the Florists; La Rambla, cradle of Barcelona's transport; La Rambla in feminine, and The Darkest Rambla, both in its Gothic and Raval versions, in addition to the journey to the past that is premiered in this edition.

In addition, three routes through La Rambla that can be done with a mobile phone are also available: The facades of La Rambla, La Rambla of cinema and Characters of La Rambla. The three routes, created for the Rambling event that the entity organized on November 30, have been available since then.

The routes, partially financed with the tourist tax, are part of Amics de La Rambla's desire to invite Barcelonians to ramble as well, an objective marked by the reform of the avenue and which has generated initiatives such as the redefinition of its souvenirs to also appeal to the Barcelonian visitor.
