Barcelona is experiencing a particularly architectural year. From the Gaudí Year to the international prominence of the Sagrada Familia, the city has once again looked at its buildings as an essential part of its identity and projection. But this renewed interest in Barcelona's architecture has gone beyond the great icons: there is increasing awareness that architecture is not only built, it is also explained. Communicating it has become an essential tool to bring the city closer to its citizens.

Precisely this is the task that, from very different perspectives, the protagonists of the next session of Moments Estel·lars carry out. Content creator Pol Casellas has contributed to discovering the city through the program Sota la pell de la ciutat by betevé; Ana María Álvarez who, from 48h Open House Barcelona, opens the doors of buildings that usually remain closed to the public; Maria Buhigas, chief architect of the Barcelona City Council, works to make major urban transformations understandable and shared by citizens; and Oriol Marin as an architect, technical architect, partner at AQUIDOS, associate professor at EPSEB UPC and member of the Professional Council of CATEB.

This perspective will be the common thread of the next session of Moments Estel·lars, the series organized by The New Barcelona Post, which on this occasion will feature the collaboration of betevé. Under the title How to communicate architecture, the conversation will address how urban projects, heritage, and buildings are translated into stories capable of connecting with an increasingly diverse citizenry. A reflection on the role of the media, institutions, content creators, and outreach initiatives in making architecture more accessible, understandable, and participatory.

Moderated by journalist and UPF-BSM professor Toni Aira, the session will be held next September 14, at 6:30 p.m., at CASA CUPRA Raval. Organized with the collaboration of CASA CUPRA Raval, Must Media Group, Barcelona Global and betevé, the conversation is open to the public with free prior registration and will allow attendees to ask questions to the speakers.

The collaboration with betevé will continue beyond the conversation. The director of the public television, Georgina Ferri, will exclusively present one of the new programs that will be part of betevé's next season, thus reinforcing an edition of Moments Estel·lars dedicated precisely to reflecting on new ways of explaining architecture and the city.

As a closing, and directly reproducing the format of the program Sota la pell de la ciutat, Pol Casellas will offer a guided tour to discover the architectural secrets of the CASA CUPRA Raval building. The activity will have limited places and will require a specific registration.

At a time when Barcelona is debating its urban future, the way of explaining architecture is also a way of explaining the city. The transformations of neighborhoods, the preservation of heritage, or the construction of new shared spaces generate increasing citizen interest and highlight the need to build narratives that go beyond plans and renders. What tools do we have today to communicate architecture? What role do media, social networks, or immersive experiences play? How is citizens' interest in the buildings they inhabit every day awakened? These and other questions will be the focus of the next session of Moments Estel·lars.

As usual, the conversation will be fully recorded and can later be followed in videopodcast format on The New Barcelona Post channels. In addition, thanks to the collaboration with betevé, the session will have a special dissemination through the public television channels, expanding the scope of the debate on architectural communication
