Weekend of tapas and drinks in Plaza Catalunya with Tast a la Rambla

The gastronomic event of Amics de la Rambla changes location this year

La Rambla once again raises its hand for Barcelonans to dare to visit it. In a tourist season that already fills the city center, Amics de la Rambla repeats its annual call for city residents to come and make its most emblematic artery their own, even if only for a few days. From this Thursday until Sunday, the ninth edition of Tast a la Rambla will offer tapas prepared by more than 30 bars, restaurants, and pastry shops, as well as drinks from a dozen Catalan wineries.

The main novelty this year will be the location, landing for the first time in Plaza Catalunya. Its traditional stop, Rambla Santa Mònica, is affected by the works to modernize the street that Amics de la Rambla has so much demanded and which, after several delays, began last November. The transfer to Plaza Catalunya was the consensual decision reached by the City Council and the association led by Fermín Villar.

For five euros, you can try tapas and small dishes from establishments such as Família Nuri, Casa Xica, Restaurant Moka, Restaurant Informal by Marc Gascons, Restaurant Telefèric, Mirch - Indian Garito, Casa de Vivi - Fauna, Don Giovanni, Nectari Restaurant, CentOnze, Cecconi's, Cerveseria Canaletes, Casa Amàlia 1950, Restaurant La Pau, The Fish & Chips Shop, Foodlona, Tapas 24, Bodega Amposta, Pepa Tomate, Cevice 103, Gaig Barcelona, Babula Bar 1937, Dos Pebrots, Taberna Kamikaze, La Güerita Mexicana, Compartir Barcelona, Piel de Gallina, Hotel Almanac, Xuba Tacos and Bar Alegria.

Desserts will be provided by Escola Espaisucre, L'Atelier Escola i Pastisseria, Mervier Canal, Oriol Balaguer, Sant Croi by Albert Roca and Pastisseria Escribà. They will also cost five euros.

For drinks, you can choose between Veri, Sanpellegrino, Estrella Damm, Cinzano, Aperol Spritz and wines from wineries such as Celler Cesca Vincent, Celler Ronadelles, Clos Pons, Juvé & Camps, Masset, Mas Rodó Vitivinícola, MontRubí and Portell. In addition, one more year, Lanzarote will be the guest territory, bringing its volcanic malvasia wines. For drinks, prices will vary, ranging from 3 euros to 6.5 euros, including the glass necessary for consumption.

The schedule for Tast de la Rambla will be from 12:00 to 22:00 on Thursday and Sunday, while on Friday and Saturday it will extend until 00:00. To consume, tickets must be purchased before heading to the stands to collect tapas and drinks.

In addition to the tastings, Amics de la Rambla has prepared a free program of talks, workshops, and showcookings, proposing to try local flavors but also from other autonomous communities such as Murcia, Asturias, and Castilla-La Mancha. Musical performances have also been organized.
