New step in the accelerated growth process of the Barcelona restaurant group Isabella's. After making the leap to Madrid and the Portuguese city of Porto, the company founded by Isabella Heseltine and directed by her son, Marco Garí, is preparing to manage a hotel in Llafranc, thus expanding now also on the Costa Brava. Specifically, Isabella's will manage the historic Hotel Llevant in this town in Baix Empordà and will also operate its restaurant after it has changed owners.

With a trajectory of 85 years, this weekend the Hotel Llevant, with 24 rooms, has closed its doors. In parallel, the investment group Salomon 1965 has announced the acquisition of the establishment founded by the Farrarons family and currently run by the third and fourth generation. The consultancy Cushman & Wakefield has advised the operation, the amount of which has not been disclosed.

Salomon 1965 is an active Barcelona family office owned by brothers Harry and Toni Serra Moreno, from a family of Jews of Sephardic origin linked to banking and investment funds. This company is also a reference shareholder of Grupo Isabella's, to which it will now entrust the management of its new hotel in Llafranc, known for being the establishment where British writer Tom Sharpe lived for long periods and where he wrote some of his works, explains ACN.

Before the outbreak of the pandemic, the owners of the establishment promoted a deep architectural renovation directed by architect Pau Llimona that has attracted new traveler profiles and has allowed it to add value. The operation that Salomon has carried out with Grupo Isabella's will allow it to continue developing a business model based on the hotel's "unbeatable" location. The idea is to reopen the hotel and a restaurant for 150 diners during Easter.

Salomon 1965 has a national and international presence in the real estate, financial, services, and venture capital sectors. 28% of its investments are allocated to the real estate sector, focusing on the purchase and repositioning of all types of assets. Among other projects, it has invested in the Chic&Basic hotel group, the Crep Nova restaurant chain, Glovo, and the coffee sales and kiosk management company Good News, in addition to being the main financial support for Isabella's strong growth plan. This summer, the group opened Anita's, its seventh restaurant in Barcelona, and is preparing for early 2023 the opening of a second location in Madrid, which will be situated on Velázquez street. This year, the Isabella's group expects to close with a turnover of 25 million euros.
