With the aim of guaranteeing the reindustrialization of the former Nissan plant in the Zona Franca and recovering jobs, the Government has granted a loan of 2.4 million euros to Ebro, which has already been producing the first vehicle models at the plant for a month.
Through the agreement, formalized with the Generalitat's public company Avançsa, the automotive firm will become part of the Innova Mobility line. This financing "consolidates the investment project" by the Generalitat in Ebro, according to the general director of Avançsa, Clàudia Canals.
The agreement represents "a step forward" for the industrial recovery of Catalonia, as defended by Rafael Ruiz, president of EV Motors, a company that has allied with the Chinese group Chery to relaunch Ebro.
"The agreement allows us to continue consolidating our vision of creating innovative vehicles that combine cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and an affordable offer for consumers," Ruiz added about the agreement, closed a month after Ebro reactivated production at the former Nissan plant, after nearly three years of inactivity since its closure.
