Proactiv Entertainment, the company promoting the show Els Llums de Sant Pau, and the Fundació Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau have reached a collaboration agreement with the Banc de Sang i Teixits to encourage blood donation this Christmas. Knowing that more than 2,000 patients will need blood during the holidays, they have launched a campaign to encourage the population to donate, taking into account that the last two weeks of the year is the most critical period because it is when the number of donations decreases the most.
Specifically, anyone who goes to donate blood or plasma on Thursday, December 15, at any of the donation points throughout Catalonia will be able to get a ticket to visit the Christmas show Els Llums de Sant Pau.
Coinciding with this initiative, on Thursday, December 15, there will be a blood donation point at the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau. The hours will be from nine in the morning to two in the afternoon and from four in the afternoon to nine at night. To sign up, it is necessary to reserve a time at donarsang.gencat.cat.
In general, anyone in good health can donate blood as long as they are between 18 and 70 years old, weigh at least 50 kilos, or, if a woman, are not pregnant. For those who have doubts, they can contact the Banc de Sang i Teixits through various channels.
