Sant Jordi in a sybaritic key

A tour of restaurants, pastry shops, and special creations that celebrate Sant Jordi with special menus, sweets, and cocktails

This 2026, Sant Jordi extends to the table, among books that change hands, glasses that are raised, and proposals designed to stretch the day. Barcelona has understood that April 23 can be much more than a stroll among roses and books. Restaurants, rooftops, and pastry shops appropriate the legend, reinterpret it, and turn it into menus, cocktails, and sweets, often with the rose as a common thread. This is a route to celebrate Sant Jordi from a gastronomic perspective, choosing well where to sit, what to order, and how to end the day.

Incorrecto celebrates Sant Jordi with a tasting menu and a paper rose by designer Paola de Fuera.

With Montblanc in the heart

Marcel Pons is a free spirit and celebrates Sant Jordi with one of the most recommended menus of the day. From Incorrect, takes the legend, shakes it slightly, and turns it into a proposal with unexpected twists, technique, and a lot of personality. On the table parade Balfegó red tuna with watermelon and spicy marrow, wild chicken cannelloni, turbot with squid sauce, and, for dessert, a caramelized apple rose.Everything is accompanied by Montblanc wines, the town where tradition places Sant Jordi's fight against the dragon, in case a little more story was still needed. The final touch is a paper rose fromPaola de Fuerathat diners can take home. Menu of 88 euros per person, wine pairing included.

Toast in exchange for reading

The imposing terrace ofNobujoins the day with one of the most literary proposals in this selection. The idea is clever: turn a book into a toast. To get their solidarity cocktail, inspired by the rose and made with pisco, lime, floral notes, and a well-tuned sweet touch, you have to hand in a book. It can be contemporary novel, philosophy, history, or children's literature. All collected copies will then be donated to Llegits, a local association that works to make reading more accessible. There will only be 100 cocktails, one per person, so it's advisable to arrive on time.

From the heights of the city

La Venta,at the foot of Tibidabo, is one of those restaurants that don't need to reinvent themselves. It's enough for them to keep doing well what they've been doing for years, also in a Sant Jordi key.Located in one of the areas with the best views of Barcelona, proposes a special menu of 69 euros with ham croquette, foie gras, eggonsenand grilled magret, finished with a cream mille-feuille. The most refined tradition

The meal concludes with a Catalan cream millefeuille. All for 59 euros per person.

AlsoGrand Hyatt Barcelonaenter this record withThe Red Legend, amoussewith edible petals that reinterprets the history of the dragon in a sweet key and is served as a special cake in Philosofia.

To this are added gift proposals such as Cudié Catanias in Catalan cream version, with toasted almond, white chocolate and cocoa powder; the fresh beer infused with rose petals from Moritz; or the chocolate roses from El Rosal, which this year collaborates with brands such as Domènio, Culinarium or TALKUAL and adds an important value: behind it there is a socio-labor insertion project linked to the Associació Alba. In the end, not everything in Sant Jordi fits between pages.
