Salomon 1965 accelerates its strategy to convert the hotel sector into a central business area. The family office of brothers Harry and Toni Serra Moreno has just acquired four new establishments located in Barcelona and Seville, which raises the number of hotels in its portfolio to ten, and which it will now group into a new holding company called Salomon Hospitality.

After the recent purchase of the historic Hotel Llevant de Llafranc ---whose management it has ceded to the Isabella's restaurant group---, Salomon has become the owner of the Barcelona hotels Lugano and Bárbara after signing a long-term lease agreement (25 years) with the property owners. In parallel, the group has purchased the Hostal Atenas and the Hotel Londres, both located in Seville, with 20 and 22 rooms, respectively.

"We believe that the hotel industry offers very interesting returns, which is why we have set out a business strategy open to both the acquisition and long-term lease of hotel assets for their subsequent operation," explains Harry Serra.

According to Salomon, the investment for the acquisition and repositioning of these four hotels will be 14 million euros. Of these, 8 million have been allocated to the acquisition and renovation of the establishments in the Andalusian capital, and the remaining 6 million euros will be necessary for the renovations and commissioning of the two hotels in Barcelona.

Located at Avinguda del Paral·lel, 172, very close to the Montjuïc exhibition center, the Hotel Lugano previously belonged to the HCC chain and has a three-star category and 70 rooms. For its part, the Hotel Bárbara is located on Marquès de Barberà street, 22, in the Raval neighborhood and has 58 rooms.

"This is just the starting point for Salomon Hospitality, which is committed to long-term strategies through the purchase or lease of hotel assets in Spanish and European cities," explains the Serra family company, which distributes its investments among the real estate, financial, services, and venture capital sectors. The real estate area, specialized in the purchase and repositioning of all kinds of assets, absorbs 28% of the holding's investments.

In addition to these four establishments of which it is 100% owner (Lugano, Bárbara, Atenas and Londres), we must add the other 6 hotels that Salomon 1965 co-owns with other brands, which adds up to a portfolio of ten assets with more than 400 rooms. These include 3 hotels from the Chic&Basic chain, the Hotel Pulitzer and three projects that will soon see the light of day on the Costa Brava: the Hotel Llevant (24 rooms), in Llafranc, and the two luxury hotels it is building in Begur and Tamariu, in alliance with Casa Bonay.
