New tenant in Torre Llevant, one of the four buildings that make up the BCN Fira District business park, promoted by Iberdrola Inmobiliaria. If a few weeks ago it was the Swiss group Arxada who announced the opening of a center of excellence in the property that will create one hundred jobs, now it is the appliance manufacturer Haier Europe who has opened new offices of more than 1,000 square meters in the tower, which also houses the headquarters of Cellnex and offices of Wallbox.
According to Haier, the move will "strengthen the company's position and visibility in the local and national technological scene" and is part of the corporate philosophy of Zero Distance, that is, the company's maximum proximity to its customers, suppliers and end consumers. "This expansion of the Haier Europe Group headquarters is a reflection of the growth achieved in recent years and reinforces its presence in the Spanish market," says the multinational, founded in China in 1984.
Haier's new facilities in Barcelona have an experiential space where the group's latest innovations are exhibited and dedicated to each of the three brands with which it operates: Haier, Candy and Hoover. According to the company, visitors to this new center in Torre Llevant will be able to experience firsthand Haier Europe's commitment to the Internet of Things (IoT) and to incorporating functionalities such as artificial intelligence (AI) and maximum connectivity into its products. The objective, it highlights, is "to consolidate itself as a leading group in smart homes among customers, suppliers and users" and to reinforce "its reputation in the large appliance industry."
Haier started manufacturing air conditioning equipment, but is now one of the world's largest appliance manufacturers, with a turnover of more than 50,000 million dollars in 2022 and 138 production centers. Among others, in the Spanish market it sells refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, microwaves, countertops, dishwashers and smart televisions.
