From August 15 to 21, the streets of Gràcia once again host a new edition of its most well-known and beloved festival by Barcelonians: the Festa Major de Gràcia. Decorated streets, popular gatherings, concerts, and shows will fill the streets of this neighborhood to celebrate this very special occasion.
The strongest musical bet comes from Festigàbal, the local talent festival organized by Heliogàbal. Ouineta and Fades are the two main headliners, but there is much more: rumba, folk, and festive electronic music that will make everyone in the square dance and enjoy. Besides music, Gràcia will also be filled with shows and family activities such as circus, storytelling, and many other options.

The Gràcia festivals once again turn the neighborhood's streets and squares into a music festival this summer. This year's musical program offers a combination of Gen Z pop, club electronic music, Catalan rumba, and established blues and rock artists.
Ouineta
Saturday, August 15 at 11:20 PM within Festigàbal (Jardins de La Sedeta)
Ouineta is the alter ego of Marta Ros, a choreographer, dancer, and multidisciplinary artist who has directed live performances for artists such as Rigoberta Bandini, Amaia, or Mushka. Her artistic proposal is a pop that talks about intimacy, pleasure, and digital culture from a performative perspective. Her debut EP Ouineta23 and her great hits like Bikini Kill or DMs, have led the artist to perform on stages such as BAM or Festival Vida. On August 15, Gràcia will witness the attitude of this new voice in music.
Habla de mí en presente

Habla de mí en presente has created a unique style that, according to themselves, is electronic rumba and emotional techno. Their proposal breaks traditional labels as it combines Mediterranean rhythms, poetry, and electronic beats. Their live show is conceived as an immersive experience where connection with the audience and the party are the protagonists.
Fades
Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 PM within Festigàbal (Jardins de La Sedeta)
Fades is a queer musical project formed by Ferran Pi, Vicenç Calafell, and Àngel Exojo. We are facing one of the freshest phenomena of Generation Z with a style that moves between club culture and Catalan pop. The band arrives in Gràcia to present their latest work, Metallix Afterparty (2025), a revision of their album where they add new layers of social criticism and collaborations with icons like Samantha Hudson or Papa Topo.
Ypnosi
Sunday, August 16 at 9:00 PM within Festigàbal (Jardins de La Sedeta)
Ypnosi brings to the stage its characteristic "rock-potingue", a brazen mix of funk, psychedelia, and Dadaist attitude. It has shared the stage with internationally renowned bands like Queens of the Stone Age and has performed in venues such as Sidecar or Laut, as well as at Cruïlla 2026. This group defines itself as a jolt of energy, tragicomedy, and irreverence, and now they arrive at the Gràcia festivities to present songs from their second album.
Balma
Sunday, August 16 at 11:20 PM within Festigàbal (Jardins de La Sedeta)
The Barcelona duo formed by Bernat Mola and Gerard Gamundi brings a Bedroom Pop proposal with 2000s club music. The two artists have extensive experience as producers for other projects in the local scene, but now Balma presents itself with its own style. In Gràcia, they will offer a live show conceived as a continuous session: they will link songs using samplers, synthesizers, and real-time effects.
Derrumband
Tuesday, August 18, 10:00 PM at Plaça del Sol
Derrumband celebrates twenty years on stage with their new tour Tal com raja. In Plaça del Sol, the band will propose a repertoire that combines their own songs and tributes to the greats of rumba and salsa. Their live show defends the party as a space of freedom and community gathering, where the distance between the dance floor and the stage completely disappears.
Catalan rumba night with Els Tets
Tuesday, August 18, 10:30 PM at Plaça de les Dones del 36
With more than fifteen years of experience, the Osona-based group Els Tets will bring to Gràcia their vision of Catalan rumba. Their proposal is based on a repertoire of classic and contemporary covers reinterpreted with a marked "rumberu" rhythm, where the cadence of the guitar, percussion, and energy are the main protagonists. Their concert will transform the square into a dance floor and a concert full of joy and good atmosphere.
Tori Sparks
Wednesday, August 19, 10:30 p.m. at the Plaça de les Dones del 36
Born in Chicago and musically trained in Nashville before settling in Barcelona, Tori Sparks is a force of nature on stage. She has a career of more than 150 concerts annually around the world and offers a musical style that combines rock with a very characteristic ironic humor. She is a well-known artist in Barcelona and usually forms part of the musical culture of Gràcia and the county city.
Big Mama Montse & Captain’s Brotherhood
Thursday, August 20, 10:30 p.m. at the Plaça de les Dones del 36
Montserrat Pratdesaba, artistically known as Big Mama Montse, is one of the most renowned blues artists in Europe. With more than two decades of career, 22 co-produced albums, and an intense work of musical dissemination, the singer and guitarist will offer a concert in Gràcia full of sentiment and the purest tradition of the genre. She will perform together with Captain's Brotherhood to give it a more festive touch, with traces of funk and soul.
The key shows of the Gràcia 2026 festivities
Beyond the big concerts and street decorations, the Gràcia 2026 festivities also program theater and shows for all audiences. The squares and libraries of the neighborhood become, in a few days, open stages where performing arts have a place.
For example, on Saturday, August 15, at 5:30 p.m. in the Plaça de les Dones del 36, there will be a dramatized recital by Teresa Vergés. The actress will offer a journey in verse and prose through Catalan theatrical literature through texts by well-known authors such as Josep Maria de Sagarra, Mercè Rodoreda, Àngel Guimerà, Santiago Rusiñol, or Frederic Soler 'Pitarra'.
Oral tradition and mental agility take over on Sunday, August 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Plaça del Folk with the IX Combat de glosa de la Vila de Gràcia. This essential event of popular culture will bring together some of the best voices of current glosa to measure their wit, metrics, and irony live.
Comedy will be the main protagonist on the night of Monday, August 17, at 10:30 p.m., when the Plaça de les Dones del 36 will host the show Fem caliu! by comedian Edu Mutante. With over twenty years of experience, his show mixes stand-up, imitations of popular characters, and improvisation.
The block will close on Thursday, August 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Ateneu de Fabricació de Gràcia with a jam session and musical experimentation session open to families and neighbors, where anyone can explore the use of instruments and discover new tools for collective musical creation.
Children's and family shows at the Gràcia festivals 2026
The family program of this edition focuses on oral narration, diversity, and accessibility. The proposals begin on Sunday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Plaça del Folk with narrator Susagna Navó and her session Contes que volten el món, a journey through different oral traditions of the planet aimed at children from 4 years old, which will include sign language interpretation.
The next day, Monday, August 17, the activity doubles in different areas of the neighborhood. The day begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Plaça de les Dones del 36 with Blai Senabre and his inclusive and sensory storytelling La princesa i el pastor, a love story that faces the opposition of a king and will also have sign language interpretation.
In the afternoon, at 6:00 p.m., the Biblioteca Vila de Gràcia will host Martha Escudero with Contes de tots colors, a show for over 4 years old (also adapted in sign language) where narration mixes with objects that come to life.
Music and stories on paper take over on Tuesday, August 18. At 11:30 a.m., the Plaça de les Dones del 36 will become the stage for Els Bosca, a la vora de la mar, a musical and fun story about the adventures of three turtles on the beach, ideal for early childhood. At the same time, the Biblioteca Vila de Gràcia will offer Narració per correspondència with Laura Bernis, a storytelling session aimed at children aged 3 to 6 that revolves around the magic of letters, postcards, and their messengers.
The circus will close this block on Wednesday, August 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the Plaça de les Dones del 36 with the company Piccolo Cirkus and their show UALA!!!, a street proposal for all audiences that combines clown and visual theater in a close and intimate format.
Music, humor, and shows for the whole family come together in Gràcia 2026's cultural program. An event open to everyone that invites us to go out into the streets, share emotions, and remember that the main festival is, above all, a reflection of our culture.
