Until now, Catalan music seemed to only succeed among people living in Catalonia. However, for some time now, we have witnessed a true revolution in Catalan music with groups and bands worth knowing and following.

Today, if we observe the Catalan music scene, we find names of groups that offer music of very varied styles and with very different messages. Pop, indie, folk, rumba, or mestizaje bands are some of the most successful in recent years. Many of these bands began their musical careers playing in bars in Gracia or Raval and, now, they fill concerts and, often, even manage to hang the "Sold out" sign.

Stay Homas

One of the most prominent Catalan music groups in recent years is, without a doubt, Stay Homas. This band, formed in 2020 during the lockdown, has managed to succeed not only in Catalonia or Spain but also worldwide. Three flatmates went up to the rooftop to compose songs and upload them to YouTube. From that simple act, a whole musical revolution emerged that has led them to fill stadiums and concert halls. Their positive, fun, and catchy songs have made Stay Homas a musical phenomenon today. Don't you know them yet?

Manel, one of the best groups of the moment

The group Manel managed to give a new direction to Catalan music. They appeared on the market as a pop and folk band that had a strong connection with the "indie" groups that were successful at the time. In 2008, they released their first album titled "Els millors professors" and the success was immediate. In fact, they won the award for Best Pop-Rock Album of the year for music in Catalan. Since then, Manel has not stopped achieving success wherever they perform. And, today, they are undoubtedly one of the best Catalan music groups.
