The big event this weekend in Barcelona is in the Gràcia neighborhood. The streets are transformed thanks to the spectacular decorations made by the residents themselves. But, besides that, in the streets, we will find concerts, workshops, shows, and community dinners, perfect for enjoying the community and neighborhood life.
On Saturday at 7 p.m. in Plaça de la Vila, we will find the traditional Ball de l'Àliga and the official proclamation, which this year is given by the historian and journalist Vicenç Sanclemente. This year, 23 streets compete in the decoration contest, but this year, the joint setting of five streets inspired by the universe of The Lord of the Rings stands out.
Soul Market Sunset Edition at Port Olímpic

The Moll de Mestral hosts throughout the weekend the summer edition of the Soul Market, an itinerant market dedicated to sustainable design, local art, and urban gastronomy. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you will find more than 20 stalls of independent creators and brands, a selection of food trucks with varied cuisine and sustainable options, live DJ sessions in the evening, activities for the little ones, and chill-out rest areas to have a drink by the sea.

Coinciding with the start of the Festa Major de Gràcia, the Heliogàbal venue organizes a new edition of Festigàbal in the Jardins de la Sedeta. This festival is the great showcase for the city's independent music and offers 10 performances spread between Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's program on the 15th will feature concerts by Irieix (8 p.m.), Partiperes (9 p.m.), Habla de mi en presente (10 p.m.), the pop of Ouineta as the headliner (11:20 p.m.), and the closing by DJ COBO. On Sunday the 16th, the party continues with Gigi Ros (8 p.m.), Ypnosi (9 p.m.), the successful proposal of Fades (10 p.m.), Balma (11:20 p.m.), and Ryna DJ's session to say goodbye to the weekend.

This Sunday, August 16th, you can enjoy one of the most successful comedies in Catalan theater. Signed by Jordi Galceran and directed by Albert Doz and Borja Rabanal, the plot follows Berta, a young pregnant student who doesn't know if her boyfriend, Manel, truly loves her. To clear her doubts, her flatmate gets her burundanga, the "truth serum." After secretly administering it, Berta uncovers a much more unusual and dangerous secret that unleashes a spiral of entanglements, complications, and laughter.

A cultural, educational, and family plan can be found at the CosmoCaixa planetarium. This space offers an immersive projection in fulldome format (360 degrees) dedicated to solar eclipses. The experience allows understanding the science behind these astronomical phenomena, their historical and cultural fascination, and simulates the real sensation of total darkness in broad daylight when the Moon covers the Sun. In addition, the documentary serves as preparation for the three great solar eclipses that can be directly observed from the peninsula between 2026 and 2028.
Michael Legend at Teatre Apolo

This weekend, Michael Legend, considered one of the best musical shows paying tribute to the King of Pop today, bids farewell to Barcelona. The show stars Ben Jackson, who is internationally considered the best Michael Jackson impersonator in the world for his voice and dance.
