The heritage area of the Catalana Occidente group has just completed one of its most ambitious projects: the comprehensive remodeling of the Palau Pascual i Pons building on Paseo de Gràcia, one of the most iconic properties designed by the celebrated Barcelona architect Enric Sagnier. Located at the confluence with Ronda Sant Pere, the works on the property, which began in 2017, have been definitively completed, with a total accumulated investment of 40 million euros.

The renovation has allowed for the preservation of all elements that make up the architectural heritage of the property and, in turn, has equipped the building with the necessary technical characteristics to also be a benchmark in energy and technological efficiency, adapting to the standards currently demanded by the competitive commercial and office market. It should be noted that offices located in the very center of the city have gained prominence in this post-pandemic scenario, so the completion of the works has coincided with the "fully booked" sign being put up.

This full occupancy has been achieved thanks to the commitment made by two major international brands to set up in the property. These are Apple and Adidas, which have located their corporate offices and their main store in Barcelona, respectively, in the Palau Pascual i Pons. Specifically, Apple currently occupies an office area of 6,500 square meters in the building, distributed over several floors. This corporate center is located directly opposite the flagship that the multinational iPhone manufacturer has in the Catalan capital.

For its part, Adidas until now had its flagship store in Barcelona next to Apple's and has moved it to the other side of the promenade, occupying the main commercial premises of the Palau Pascual i Pons, with an area of 2,300 m², which makes it one of the largest establishments of the German brand in Spain.

With an area of 16,300 m², the building houses other tenants such as the French Chamber of Commerce and the communication agency Maite Felices, in addition to having commercial premises occupied by Farggi, Óptica Universitaria, and Camper. "The complete occupation of Palau Pascual i Pons not only demonstrates the historical attractiveness of the property and its location on Barcelona's main commercial thoroughfare, but also highlights the rehabilitation work that has been carried out to convert the property into one of the best office and business spaces in the city with open-plan and flexible floors; a cutting-edge and highly energy-efficient facility," explains the Director of Real Estate at Grupo Catalana Occidente, Óscar Andel.

In addition to offices and commercial premises, the property has meeting rooms on the main floor of the building with views of Paseo de Gràcia and Ronda de Sant Pere, and common areas that include a terrace with views of Plaza Catalunya, which can be reserved by external companies wishing to rent the spaces. The palace also opened a new parking lot in 2021 with access from Caspe street, which has 95 spaces ---with charging points for electric and hybrid cars--- and space for bicycles and scooters.

The new Adidas store occupies more than 2,000 m².

According to Catalana Occidente, the works have allowed the preservation of the floors, stained-glass windows, furniture, leaded display cases, ceilings, fireplaces, and the sculpted wooden staircase on the main floor of the building, where a stone railing with different ornamental motifs and pointed arch windows that complete the aesthetic of the property also stand out.
