Barcelona is on investors' radar in 2025. The city has risen three positions in the ranking and is positioned as the fourth European city for investors this year, according to real estate consultancy CBRE.

The Catalan capital is located only behind London, Madrid, and Paris. The attraction generated by Barcelona and Madrid positions Spain as second in the ranking of most attractive European countries for investors, behind the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Spain is the only country with two cities on the list and, along with Milan, Barcelona is the only city in the top 10 that is not a state capital.

The city entered the ranking in 2022, in ninth position. A year later, it rose to sixth place, while in 2024 it fell slightly to seventh. Now it has climbed to fourth position, its best mark to date. "Barcelona continues to climb positions and is already among the European cities preferred by investors," emphasizes the head of CBRE in Barcelona, Xavier Güell.

This investor interest is increasing after a 2024 driven mainly by sectors such as hospitality, logistics, and offices. In fact, the city has registered an increase in investment volumes of 30% in 2024, exceeding 2.5 billion euros.

Looking ahead to 2025, CBRE forecasts investment growth in Barcelona of over 15%. This increase would place investment in the Catalan capital at close to 3 billion euros, which would imply recovering pre-pandemic figures in the city.
