Paseo de Gràcia is preparing to welcome a new international brand. The fashion brand Arket is finalizing its opening at number 26 of the emblematic avenue, which will become its first store in Spain. The new establishment of the brand, which is part of the H&M group, will have two floors in the center of the Catalan capital.

The brand, created in 2017 as H&M's premium brand, has chosen Barcelona to continue its international expansion, in a strategy that also plans to open soon in Milan, in a store with which it will also debut in Italy. Arket is the eighth brand of the H&M group, which has its headquarters in Spain in 22@, in a warehouse of more than 4,000 square meters to which it moved two years ago.

Arket, which means sheet of paper in Swedish, is characterized by a functional, minimalist, Nordic and timeless character. Based in Stockholm, its offer includes products from third-party brands distributed in its women's, men's and children's fashion collections, and takes a step further towards lifestyle, with home and personal care products.

Its establishments also aspire to go beyond fashion: in addition to selling its collections, its stores include a cafeteria, which bases its proposal on healthy and quality food, aligned with Swedish gastronomy. In fact, its cafeterias follow the philosophy of the New Nordic Food Manifesto, which looks at traditional Nordic food from an innovative angle that prioritizes health and ethical production, and which will now also arrive in the Catalan capital.

Without taking into account the two future openings in Barcelona and Milan, Arket has 27 establishments in 14 countries distributed mainly in Europe and Asia, where it has a presence with four stores in China and three in South Korea. Since its first opening in London in 2017, the chain has also reached some 70 countries through its online store, the only channel available in Spain until the brand's arrival in the Catalan capital.
