A young entrepreneur creates Baltasar, an electric supercar manufactured in Cerdanyola

Baltasar López knew from a young age that he wanted to produce his own car. After ten years working to achieve this, the also founder of the companies Enchufing and Millor Battery now presents Baltasar Revolt, designed for racing on circuits, but also for driving on the road. The vehicle has been 100% developed in the Parc Tecnològic del Vallès, where it will also be produced.

Since 2011, Baltasar López has been working to create Baltasar Revolt, the new electric supercar he has just publicly presented. His project began when he was only 24 years old, even though he knew where he wanted to go from a very young age. "It's a life project," López emphasizes in statements to The New Barcelona Post.

Without the technology, contacts, or resources, all these years have allowed him to accumulate the necessary experience to fully design and manufacture his own car in Cerdanyola del Vallès. "It has been a race of endurance," he explains. In fact, before launching the Baltasar brand, López set up two more companies, Enchufing and Millor Battery, which will be key partners for the new supercar, providing the charging infrastructure and the necessary battery.

With a price of 230,000 euros, the Baltasar Revolt is designed to race on circuits, but also to drive on the road. "It's an electric race car that you can use on the street," López defines. Most of the components are made of carbon fiber, thus achieving a total weight of 770 kilograms. It has a range of 600 kilometers and 40 minutes in circuit conditions. It is available in different colors, has a power of 500 bhp, and the battery weighs 250 kilograms.

Both the design and production will be carried out at Baltasar's facilities in Cerdanyola, in the Parc Tecnològic del Vallès, and local suppliers will be used. With an area of 1,000 square meters, the plant is prepared for series production of a few units, taking into account the exclusivity of the vehicle.

The Baltasar Revolt can now be ordered on the company's website. They will receive orders for another year, with the intention of starting production next spring. The first units will be delivered in the second half of 2022.

This will not be the only electric supercar designed and manufactured entirely in Barcelona. Hispano Suiza is producing its Carmen model, from a warehouse of more than a thousand square meters in Montmeló, near the Circuit de Catalunya. The Hispano Suiza Carmen has positioned itself in a higher market segment, that of hypercars.
