Vapiano's fresh pasta, oven-baked pizzas, and colorful salads can now be tasted at its new restaurant on La Rambla, which opened its doors last Saturday. Barcelona residents will be able to enjoy the more than 40 Mediterranean food recipes offered by this restaurant from the new location, which joins those on Gran Via and Diagonal Mar.
Despite the difficulties of the last year, the German-born chain has decided to bet, not only on recovering its activity with an opening, but to do so in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona, one of the most affected by the crisis and where closures have occurred in recent months. The new establishment occupies number 34 of Barcelona's most famous artery, a space where the iconic Cosmos bar used to be.
Vapiano has completely renovated the premises, adapting it to its traditional aesthetic, characterized by vertical gardens, aromatic plants on the tables to complete the flavor of any dish, oak wood, and an iconic olive tree that presides over any of its restaurants. As in the other establishments in the city, there will be a lounge area to enjoy mixed drinks and cocktails.
One of the novelties of the restaurant on La Rambla is the outdoor terrace, the first that the chain has in its establishments in Barcelona and with a capacity for 120 diners. Table service will also be incorporated, complementing the showcooking area, where orders begin, with the possibility of adapting all the recipes it offers to individual tastes.
With a staff of 55 employees, the new restaurant will be open every day of the week. The chain, originating in Hamburg, has more than 200 restaurants spread all over the world.
