Barcelona shines for its great achievements: being the technological hub of southeastern Europe, the cradle of great start-ups, a great business power; and for years also for being the capital of fashion. The 080 is a unique catwalk that last year was already located at Marina Vela - Port Vell. It is a space for enjoyment and reflection around the designs of great Catalan and international brands. Great consolidated talents and emerging artists coexist in this event that is practically on par with Paris or New York Fashion Week. According to a statement from the event itself, this autumn, the 38th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion will be held from October 20 to 23 and will bring together 25 unique and original designers, including powerful names such as Custo Barcelona, Escorpion, Guillermina Baeza, SKFK, David Catalan, 404 Studio or Dominnico, among others.

The return of Reborn

An industry as large as fashion needs key initiatives to keep it up to date with sustainability. That is why this year —together with 080— the fifth edition of 080 Reborn will be held, a project supported by the Waste Agency of Catalonia (ARC) and Girbau Lab. Specifically, the initiative aims to value second-hand clothing and raise consumer awareness about the importance of a hybrid fashion consumption that also includes the purchase of used clothing. Fermín + Guilles, the tandem of stylists and creative directors who designed 080 Reborn, have more than 25 years of experience in the fashion sector, but wanted to go a step further to bring the industry closer to more environmentally friendly objectives.

Thus, through its proposals and presentations, 080 Reborn vindicates and dignifies second-hand clothing, as well as exploring the potential of upcycling as a creative and sustainable tool. Throughout its different editions, the event has consolidated itself as one of the most innovative and unique proposals on the catwalk, with collections created exclusively from pieces from second-hand shops, social entities, recycling plants, and vintage markets. According to the 080 Barcelona Fashion statement, each edition develops its own conceptual and narrative universe —from social movements and literary imaginaries to urban subcultures— demonstrating that circular fashion can go beyond sustainability and become a tool for conceptual, contemporary, creative, and deeply aesthetic expression.

The first edition of the catwalk this 2026 was the first time that 080 Reborn left the usual space of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The Museum of Modern Art of Tarragona hosted a retrospective of 080 Reborn, an exhibition that brought together the collections presented over the last few years and highlighted its conceptual, aesthetic, and social evolution within the panorama of circular fashion. For this year, the event does not give more details about what could happen or change.
