Surprise trips, surprise getaways, a surprise summer, surprise experiences, surprise dinners... everything is an unknown for the client in the business model of Flappin', a traveltech founded in Barcelona at the end of 2021 and which has just opened its second round of financing with the aim of accelerating its growth.

The startup, whose CEO is Pol Clavell, one of the four founding partners, seeks to raise 800,000 euros which it plans to allocate to increasing its services, boosting its internationalization and improving its product and the efficiency of its operations by 90% through the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.

With a staff of thirteen people, Flappin' already operates in Spain, Italy and Portugal and plans to land in new countries when it captures these financial resources. "We are very happy with the rapid growth of the company and the excellent reception obtained among the public. This new round comes at a key moment, as it makes us stronger to meet our objectives: scalability and product improvement. In addition, it also enables us to continue contributing value to the professional sector of the industry through digitalization, and to provide unique and exciting experiences to our users, allowing them to fly higher, break barriers and discover new adventures," says Pol Clavell.

The company, which plans to hire four more people shortly, expects to double its sales this year and reach a turnover of 2.2 million euros.

The creators of Flappin' launched the company with the aim of unifying in a single platform the different verticals of the surprise leisure business that existed until now. That is, they opted not to market only flights and surprise trips, but also dinners in restaurants, local getaways or experiences linked to wellness, sport and adventure. The idea is to simplify things as much as possible for the user, so that they don't have to worry about anything, just packing their suitcase, forgetting about booking flights, looking for a hotel or choosing a restaurant.

"This solution has arrived to revolutionize the new ways of traveling for the modern consumer, without neglecting quality, personalization and flexibility when booking. Under the motto live more and plan less, the company already has more than 8,000 nights and experiences booked," highlights the company.
