Last.app, the startup that develops and commercializes software to facilitate the activity of businesses in the hospitality sector (restaurants, restaurant chains, dark kitchens) has closed a financing round of 2.2 million euros.
Based in Barcelona and created by entrepreneurs Eric and Iván Nikolic, former developers at Glovo, the platform will boost its growth in Spain, to subsequently address international markets. The expansion phase will focus on the development of new products and functionalities of the tools it currently commercializes.
The Nikolic brothers want to consolidate themselves as suppliers to the hospitality sector in all its areas and for all types of establishments, so they offer the entire sector the necessary programs and procedures for any restaurant to compete at the same level as a multinational. To achieve this, it will strengthen the areas of technology, customer service, sales, and marketing.
The financing round has been led by All Iron Ventures ---a fund promoted by Jon Uriarte and Ander Michelena, founders of Ticketbis---, with the participation of the Portuguese venture capital fund Bynd and leading business angels in Spain. The operation has also allowed entrepreneurs such as Hugo Arévalo, co-founder of ThePowerMBA; Iñaki Ecenarro, co-founder of Trovit; Albert Armengol, co-founder of Doctoralia, and Gonzalo Manrique, co-founder of Ironhack, to get involved in the company.
The promoters of Last.app trust in the revolution of the hospitality industry so that restaurants can transform their way of operating, automate processes, and make their daily activity in a simpler way. All this with cutting-edge technological tools, at a competitive price and in a flexible way.
Its tools, according to the company, cover the global management of establishments and brands with functionalities for aspects such as POS payment, delivery integrator, online store, reservations, fleet management, or virtual brands, among others.
