The New Barcelona Post, now available through the Squid news app

News consumption via mobile has become the most common practice, not only among younger generations, but also among older ones. Applications like Squid allow access to thousands of information sources and the choice to be instantly informed of everything happening in the world or to narrow down the type of news by geographical area or topic.

Squid is free and does not require any type of registration. Simply download the application and choose from over a hundred categories, such as featured news, world, Spain, Catalonia, or Barcelona. Economy, gastronomy, lifestyle, music, culture, books, or cinema are some of the many themes with which the user can personalize the application. It is possible to select to receive news in the local language of about sixty countries in Europe and Latin America, including Catalan. Thus, in a very easy way and with a single application, it is possible to get informed about what is happening, for example, in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Russia, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, or Peru.

From now on, the information published by The New Barcelona Post will also be accessible through Squid, which offers other functionalities such as saving favorite articles, receiving alerts, and sharing news through major social networks or by email. Likewise, information sources that are not of interest can also be blocked.

Unlike other applications for designing your own news channel of interest, Squid allows you to personalize articles by adding comments, underlining, drawing, or inserting icons or stickers. The application is available on Google Play, the Apple Store, and Huawei AppGallery. Squid App has been developed by the Swedish company Njuice.
