From the heart of Paral·lel to Poble Espanyol. This is how the BARTS venue has evolved, now presenting itself as BARTS Festival. During the month of July, the Montjuïc venue hosts the first edition of this festival that combines live performances, luxury gastronomy, and a space surrounded by nature.
Great national and international artists, such as ZZ Top, Lax'n'Busto, or María Becerra, will pass through this stage to fill summer nights with culture and fun.
BARTS: From mythical venue to festival under the stars
The BARTS (Barcelona Arts on Stage) venue, which was located on Av. Paral·lel, has evolved and changed its turn to become BARTS Festival. Managed by The Project, this project leaves behind the closed venue format to become a full-fledged festival in the Poble Espanyol. It is a transformation designed to maintain the quality of its live shows but adapted to the rhythm of July nights.
Throughout the entire month of July, Poble Espanyol welcomes great music artists to its main stage. But BARTS Festival also has other spaces such as the Village, which is the festival's gastronomic area, the place to go before concerts. Here you will find a gastronomic offer that goes hand in hand with a musical program where emerging artists will be given a voice: performances that will take place on the BARTS Club stage.
The July lineup at BARTS Festival 2026
The festival opened last June 30 with BEAT and great names in current music have already passed through its stage, such as singer-songwriter Joan Dausà and the rumba party by Los Manolos and Gipsy Kings. But the festival has only just begun! During the month of July, the Poble Espanyol stage will host great names in national and international music.
Marta Santos will perform at BARTS Festival on July 4
Marta Santos arrives in Barcelona having become a mass phenomenon. Backed by a figure of more than 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the Sevillian artist lands in Montjuïc with a proposal that fuses the sensibility of current pop with the flamenco spirit. A perfect night to enjoy her songs in a close and face-to-face live performance with her audience.
God Save The Queen and the legacy of Freddie Mercury on July 9
On Thursday, July 9, the international production God Save The Queen will present its new show. Coinciding with the fortieth anniversary of Freddie Mercury's last live performance, the band will perform the great hits of the British band supported by a technical and visual display. The concert features current video technologies with the aim of recreating the great stadium tours that Queen carried out during the 80s.
Antoñito Molina bids farewell to his creative stage on July 10
Just one day later, on Friday, July 10, the Andalusian singer-songwriter Antoñito Molina will offer the concert titled Mis últimos 'Me Prometo'. This limited series of performances continues the commercial success of his 2025 tour and serves as a closing of his current cycle before embarking on new projects. A unique occasion to sing his songs live in the very special atmosphere created in the Poble Espanyol.
Lax'n'Busto celebrates 40 years of career on July 15
Mid-month brings one of the festival's highlights and a key event for Catalan rock. On Wednesday, July 15, the historic band Lax'n'Busto (with Pemi Fortuny, Jimmy Piñol, Pemi Rovirosa, Jesús Rovira, Cristian Gómez Montenegro and Eduard Font) will reunite on the stage of the Poble Espanyol. The concert commemorates the four decades of their official debut, which took place in August 1986, and will review the great hits of their career.
Shinova presents its new format on July 16
Thursday, July 16, will be the turn of the Vizcayans Shinova, one of the most solid bands in the pop-rock and indie circuit. Led by Gabriel de la Rosa, the band will present live their latest EP, La tormenta perfecta, a work structured in four musical chapters. But on stage they will also review their best-known songs so that all their audience can sing and enjoy their classics.
ZZ Top returns to Barcelona on July 19 with The Big One!
One of the most prominent international dates will take place on Sunday, July 19, with the concert of ZZ Top. After two years of absence from the city's stages, the Texas band arrives in Barcelona as part of their European tour The Big One! The trio led by Billy F. Gibbons, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will review their historic discography, which has sold over 60 million copies worldwide.
Maria Becerra and the live performance of Quimera on July 22

The BARTS Festival will close its 2026 edition on Saturday, July 25, with the performance of Morrissey. The former leader of The Smiths returns to Barcelona after ten years without setting foot in our city to present his new album, Make-up is a Lie, recorded in France. This concert will be a historical review of essential independent pop songs from the last forty years.
