The ISE improves all forecasts and sets a new record with more than 73,000 visitors

The audiovisual fair brings together 80 Catalan companies, the highest number since its arrival in Barcelona

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Europe's largest professional audiovisual fair, has celebrated its 20th anniversary in style, not only by organizing the largest edition in its history, with more than 1,400 exhibitors and occupying 82,000 square meters, but also by breaking its attendance record. From Tuesday to this Friday, the show has received a total of 73,891 congress attendees from 162 countries, a figure that represents a 27% increase compared to last year and widely surpasses its last record, in its previous location, Amsterdam, before the pandemic, when it reached 62,000 attendees.

"As we celebrate this milestone, we are already thinking about continuing our commitment to being a global platform for the industry," said its general director, Mike Blackman. Similarly, Fira de Barcelona has made a very positive assessment of the first major congress it has hosted this year, "both because everything has worked perfectly inside and outside the venue and because in this edition the number of visitors and exhibitors has grown very significantly," according to its general director, Constantí Serrallonga. "It is a leading international show and we are proud as a city that it takes place in Barcelona and Catalonia. In addition, it has great growth potential and a long way to go at Fira," added Serrallonga.

A record-breaking edition that has also served the 80 local companies that have participated in the audiovisual fair, 10% more than a year ago. "There had never been such a presence of Catalan companies at ISE," said the president of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia, Miquel Rutllant.

In this regard, the thirty companies located in the Generalitat pavilion expect to generate a business volume of 3 million euros in the next year from the more than 1,100 meetings held during the days of the show, according to Acció data. In addition, 24% have already closed an agreement this week and 38% of the meetings have been with foreign clients. "It contributes to positioning us internationally and projecting the name of Barcelona and Catalonia in the technological field," said the Minister of Business and Labor, Roger Torrent.
