Barcelona has a rich commercial fabric that encompasses everything from the most international brands to unique neighborhood stores. To continue enriching the retail sector, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce looks at global trade trends to analyze how they can contribute to adding attractiveness to the local sector and put it into practice.
To achieve this, the institution proposes a virtual journey to visit global success stories, in a session that will analyze audiences, lifestyles, and new concepts, experiences, and products that are generating impact in the current commercial landscape.
Within the framework of the 2024 Retail Trade Program, a free pilot test will be carried out on Monday, November 25 for trade companies, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Feder) and by the Secretary of State for Commerce of the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Enterprise.
This pilot test will be organized with a maximum of 50 participating companies, which will virtually travel through commercial references to study their practices and bring them to their businesses. To be part of this day, companies must have at least one physical point of sale in one of the municipalities of the Barcelona Chamber's demarcation. Admissions will be made in order of receipt of the application until the 50 available places are reached.
The day will start at 9:30 a.m. with the virtual journey to learn about new commercial trends in the world and how they are being applied. The event, which will last until 1 p.m., will also include an individual workspace, where the concepts addressed will be applied to adapt the participants' businesses to the needs of the future.
The Chamber has designed the day to stimulate creativity and challenge the critical thinking of participating businesses, with the aim of gaining tools for businesses to anticipate the needs of the future, which are already materializing in the present through these global trends.
