The Van Van gastronomic market and Daura beer are joining forces to jointly organize an edition that will only offer 100% celiac-friendly proposals. This new event, baptized as Van Van 100% [gluten-free], will follow Van Van's own formula, combining food, music and workshops, and will do so from the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm. The schedule will run from 11:30 in the morning until 22:30 at night. With free admission, entry will be allowed until full capacity is reached.
During Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, the Van Van 100% [gluten-free] will allow visitors to try gastronomic proposals with different local approaches to the world of celiac-friendly food, accompanied by Daura, Damm's gluten-free beer. "On such a significant date as Celiac Awareness Month, we wanted to celebrate the occasion by organizing a 100% gluten-free event with a complete cultural proposal, open not only to celiacs, but to all those who want to enjoy a weekend full of live music, DJ's, workshops and good gastronomy," the organization points out.
Among the participants specialized in gluten-free cuisine, names such as Grosso Napoletano stand out, which will present its new establishment L'Atmosfera, a space for gluten-free Neapolitan cuisine; The Fish and Chips Shop, with its innovative recipe of the English classic suitable for celiacs, or the gluten-free proposals of Cal Màrius 449.
You can also taste the gluten-free bread and pastry products from Eqilibre; the waffles, brownies and ice creams from Cooketea, the high-end take-away menus from Alatria or the specialty coffee from News & Coffee.
The program will be completed with workshops with nutritionist and former Masterchef participant Amelia and chef specialized in gluten-free recipes Mateo Sierra, who will explain in a show cooking their secrets to innovate in gluten-free cuisine and achieve a wider range of alternatives. There will also be humor with comedian Charlie Pee.
As for the music, there will be live performances by bands such as punk-rock La La Love You and pop quintet Da Souza. Throughout the weekend, DJs such as Jordi Salvadiscos, Diego Armando, Hanakito, Yamamemaru, Lady Avocado, Golfo De Guinea or Pablo Maffi will be playing.
