The Estadi Olímpic is warming up for a reduced but intense musical season. And the transfer of Barça's matches to its facilities while the renovation of Camp Nou is extended limits the availability of the stadium, which has taken advantage of the months of football inactivity to schedule concerts that have already hung the sold out sign.
Bruce Springsteen, Rammstein, and Estopa will be the protagonists of the summer at Lluís Companys, and will attract a total of more than 200,000 attendees to the stadium. The German band Rammstein will be in charge of opening the concert season precisely this Tuesday, June 11.
Springsteen and his E Street Band will take over with a double date on June 20 and 22, which in both cases sold out tickets in a few minutes after they went on sale. With this double header, the Boss will become the artist who will have performed the most times on the Olympic stage, with eight concerts in total.
Estopa will also mark a milestone this summer: they have earned the medal of being the first national artists to have filled the capacity of the Estadi Olímpic. The brothers from Cornellà will perform before a full stadium on July 10, as part of their 25th-anniversary tour.
The musical program of the Estadi Olímpic reaffirms its role within the international circuit: between 2023 and 2024, four of the five most important tours in terms of worldwide revenue will have passed through its stage. These have been Springsteen, Beyoncé, Coldplay and Harry Styles, who complete the international top 5 along with Taylor Swift, who passed through Madrid a few days ago with a double date at the Santiago Bernabéu.
With its musical programming, the Estadi Olímpic contributes to positioning Barcelona as a leading city in attracting major tours, which attract 12% of international audiences and 36% from the rest of the country. The four concerts will close a first half of the year with a large volume of activity in the stadium, and with a novelty: the opening of The Venue, headquarters of a new ecosystem of companies linked to sport, music and major events with which the Olympic Ring venue wants to position itself as an innovation hub for this triad of industries.
