The market is infested with beauty products to reduce facial imperfections. Even so, consumers do not always apply the appropriate or most effective remedies, which can have adverse effects on the skin such as redness, rashes, and even diminish the quality and radiance of the complexion.

Skin Bliss was born in Barcelona at the hands of Maria Otworowska, a young woman of Polish origin, an expert in cognitive science, who has developed an algorithm through artificial intelligence and added it to a mobile application, in order to adjust the ideal dermatological treatment for each skin type.

Based on an initial questionnaire, the platform creates a personalized report for each user and establishes a list of all those products potentially appropriate to meet the needs of their dermis, from cleansing and moisturizing to toning and the use of facial masks. In addition, it has a tool to resolve any doubts about the components of a cosmetic product, either by writing the name of the ingredients or photographing its label. The algorithm is capable of identifying more than 25,000 ingredients and has already analyzed more than 45,000 skin care products.

According to its founder, Skin Bliss has a lot of potential in the Spanish market, due to the number of independent companies that elaborate their own facial care products. In Spain alone, the application offers the option of creating personalized routine batches and allows for a joint purchase with items from different brands.

With just over a year of life, this startup has been recognized by the largest Spanish beauty and cosmetics cluster with two nominations for the Digital Beauty Awards, annual awards that distinguish companies in the sector and that this year will be presented in September, at a ceremony in La Pedrera.

Skin Bliss, already available in eight languages, wants to consolidate its presence in the international market and reach one million users in the next two years. Its profitability depends on an affiliation business model and the commissions it earns from the sale of products recommended by the application. The company is looking for new investors to support the project after raising 320,000 euros in a pre-seed round in January 2022. These resources have been used to finance the product launch and to create the current staff of five employees, plus associated personnel.
