Extending the cultural outing to a theater or a performance hall after having attended a performance or a concert is the attraction that the Mercat de les Flors, the Teatre Lliure, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, the Palau de la Música and L'Auditori will offer to people between 18 and 35 years old, from October 21 to November 1.
The six cultural institutions of Barcelona have joined forces to provide a specific offer for the youngest audience and to promote educational and social initiatives with the Vibe35 project. This is a program that will be offered at a price of between 10 and 20 euros per ticket per person and that will not only give access to the selected show but, at the end of the performance, Vibe 35 participants will be able to enjoy an aftershow, with ambient musical performances or DJs proposed by Sónar, Primavera Sound, Festival Cruïlla, Razzmatazz or Nitsa/Apolo.
The heads of the six cultural venues have insisted during the presentation of the project that this is the beginning of an alliance that will go further and that is open to the rest of the city's cultural facilities to join an innovative and unique initiative like Vibe35.
Specifically, seven shows will be presented; two at the Palau de la Música and one for each of the remaining cultural facilities. The Vibe35 program will kick off on October 21 at the Mercat de les Flors with Bate Fado and a subsequent performance by Unai Muguruza in collaboration with Primavera Sound. On October 22 there will be Sun & Sea and the show with Sama Yak in collaboration with Nitsa/Apolo and Maria Arnal DJ set at the Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc.
The turn of the Gran Teatre del Liceu will be on October 26 with a performance of Il Trovatore, which will be rounded off with an aftershow by a DJ in collaboration with Sònar and food stands. The next day, October 27, the TNC will host the play Ensayo sobre la ceguera, with an aftershow with Kyne + DJ Krea in collaboration with Razzmatazz,
On October 29, L'Auditori will offer Pol Batlle y Rita Payès + Marina Herlop and then LANAV, an evening prepared in collaboration with Primavera Sound, while the Palau de la Música will offer on October 31 Metropolis and a subsequent musical event in collaboration with the Festival Cruïlla.
Finally, the Vibe35 project will close on November 1 with another performance at the Palau de la Música. In this case, with the work Don Giovanni and the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, with an aftershow in collaboration with the Cruïlla festival.
Education and culture
On the other hand, the six facilities have joined forces in their educational services to promote the educational value of culture, creating bridges and mediators between the cultural and educational sectors. Among the most prominent objectives is the promotion of training, debate, and the creation of educational resources aimed at the entire educational community and, on the other hand, the objective of giving greater visibility to the educational offerings of the six facilities, facilitating their access to participation.
Thus, a web platform will be created (which will be online by the middle of next year) that will include the programming of all educational activities offered by the six facilities, the creation of shared itineraries, and the organization of training sessions led by teachers from schools and institutes.
