SeQura's new center represents the startup's long-term commitment to continue innovating, not only in payment methods for purchases in stores like AliExpress, but also in the way its staff works. It is designed as an "oasis of encounters" where employees can go for meetings while teleworking the rest of the day from home.

With a total area of 2,700 square meters and several floors, the center features varied workspaces decorated by local artists like Txemy, as well as a terrace and an entrance that seems from another era. SeQura's CEO, David Backström, argues that they wanted to go "beyond" a normal office, considering that their organizational structure already differs from more traditional ones, with no executive committee and decision-making led by those who have the information. "Continuing to be leaders in the sector implies investing in personnel," Backström summarizes.
In its operations, the company innovates in matters such as users being able to enjoy their purchases before paying, avoiding queues in stores, or obtaining financing without too many formalities. This way of addressing customers must be reinforced in the new space, a key piece for the company in the post-coronavirus stage, in which it wants to prepare for its international expansion, starting with Latin America, and achieve a turnover of 40 million euros in 2021.
With more than five years of experience, SeQura employs 130 workers and expects to reach 200 next year. It has more than 2,500 associated businesses, such as La Redoute, Maisons du Monde, AliExpress, Phone House, Game, or Privalia. Since its creation, more than one million purchases have been made with SeQura, which offers solutions such as dividing the purchase amount into three installments.
