Sateliot has incorporated engineer Isaac Llorens into its team to boost the more spatial area of its business. The Catalan company led by Jaume Sanpera has signed a professional who is already familiar with the business project, as until now he led the satellite assembly, integration and testing team at Open Cosmos, the company that manufactured the first nanosatellite that Sateliot plans to put into orbit this year.

A graduate in Aeronautical Engineering in Air Navigation from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and with a master's degree in Space Sciences from the International Space University, Llorens had also worked in companies such as Akka Technologies and Clyde Space, where he participated in the Spire project.
According to Sateliot, with the incorporation of Isaac Llorens, it expands its technical capabilities in the space sector, since until now the team had been fully focused on the field of telecommunications with the aim of coordinating all the necessary work for its nanosatellites to offer coverage extension where terrestrial networks do not reach.
The Catalan startup already has the first nanosatellite ready out of the hundred it plans to have in service by 2025. This constellation of small satellites located at low altitude is expected to begin being put into orbit during the first half of the year and will require an investment of one hundred million euros. Sateliot wants to be the first satellite telecommunications operator that will provide global and continuous connectivity to all elements that will make up the universe of the Internet of Things (IoT) ---such as the connected car or home--- under the 5G protocol.
