PayFit will continue to grow in Barcelona after locating its Spanish subsidiary in the Catalan capital in 2018, with the support of the public agency Acció. The company's management plans to increase its workforce by 25% during 2021, reaching 73 employees, which will mean creating about twenty new jobs. It seeks to incorporate qualified profiles, ranging from engineers to management positions and sales managers.
"Barcelona is a city with a great startup ecosystem, very cosmopolitan and with a high capacity to attract talent," defends PayFit's head in Spain, Yoann Artus. In addition, another of the virtues of the Catalan capital is that "it is very close to France, both from a geographical and cultural point of view."
From the Catalan capital, the French technology company mainly targets SMEs with up to about 150 employees. PayFit offers software for the automation of payroll management and generation, as well as other human resources tasks such as sick leave, holidays, or employee expenses.
Founded in 2016 in France, PayFit serves 5,000 companies across Europe and has a global workforce of 550 employees. The company is also present in Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The technology company has closed several funding rounds, the last one for 90 million euros, which should help it grow by 100% compared to 2020.
