Parlem continues its commitment to integrate local operators to enhance user proximity. The group has acquired the telecommunications business unit of the Pinergia cooperative, which will allow Parlem to complete its presence and its offering of both mobile telephony and fiber optic services in the Pyrenees.
The group, which recently announced the relocation of its headquarters to the Cambra de Barcelona building, has carried out this operation after recently closing a capital increase of more than four million euros. In addition, this acquisition demonstrates the group's willingness to integrate local operators to improve its penetration and proximity throughout Catalonia.
The operation foresees that the current team of Pinergia's telecommunications unit will be integrated into Parlem's structure. Furthermore, after the purchase, Pinergia will retain its other business units, based on energy and environmental services.
Parlem, founded in 2014, will operate in the area with the Xartic brand, which is already part of the telecommunications group and is consolidated in territories such as the regions of Garrotxa, Alt Empordà, Ripollès, and Cerdanya. In this sense, the group's telco division has four brands: Parlem Telecom, Aproop in the Valencian Community, and Parlem Wicat, in Pallars, in addition to Xartic.
