The jewelry firm Pandora is boosting its growth plan in Spain with the opening of a 200-square-meter establishment at number 50 on the central Pelai street in Barcelona. The premises will become the chain's flagship store and is the first store the brand opens at street level, as until now its presence was focused on several shopping centers.

Specifically, Pandora has points of sale in L'Illa, La Maquinista, Glòries, Maremagnum, Arenas, Gran Via 2, and El Corte Inglés. Now, it moves to street level and opens in Pelai, in an operation brokered by the consultancy Cushman & Wakefield, which assures that "this is excellent news for Barcelona's commerce," as "it is another sign of the reactivation of economic activity in the city center."

Globally, Pandora invoiced more than 2,550 million euros last year, with a net profit of 261 million. The brand was born in Copenhagen in 1982 and began to popularize and register strong sales increases in 2000, when it created its famous bead bracelets or charms of different shapes, colors, and meanings. Since 2010, the company has been listed on the stock exchange. The brand's jewelry is marketed in about one hundred countries, in more than 6,700 points of sale, of which 2,600 are concept-stores similar to the one now inaugurated in Barcelona.
