The essayist Bob Riemen, interviewed by F. La Revista del Foment, in his essays and postulates, advocates for the return of a forgotten idea, nobility of spirit. It is a will for civilization to which F, as a magazine of ideas and culture, adheres without reservation. This is the moment for a reunion with European values, with the continuity of great Western culture. For this reason, we present in "Panorama", visits to the house museums of four great painters: Sorolla, Leighton, Rusiñol and Delacroix

The more the acceleration of time manifests itself as a characteristic of the era, the more value the verification of memory should have. In this issue ofF. The Magazine of Foment, we intend to fit both comprehension systems in time. On the one hand, what does what happened in May 1968 represent in 2018? How to give new projection, for example, to the ideas of such an illustrious figure of the Enlightenment as Jovellanos was? And, on the other hand, if neuroscience is the grand dame of our time, where will its future revelations about the strange orders of minds and feelings lead us?

Between both shores, we perceive a disturbing present. The essayist Bob Riemen, interviewed by F. La Revista del Foment, lucidly describes it. In his essays and postulates, Riemen advocates for the return of a forgotten idea, the nobility of spirit. It is a will for civilization to which F. La Revista del Foment, as a magazine of ideas and culture, unreservedly adheres. This is the moment for a reunion with European values, with the continuity of great Western culture. Hence, as "Panorama," the visits to the house museums of four great painters: Sorolla, Leighton, Rusiñol, and Delacroix. They represent fidelity to an idea of art as a desire for greatness, from distinct conceptions that intertwine and generate the creative splendor and vital style that can be seen in their house museums, as proof – even if it is not typical of postmodern aesthetics – of what art achieves as a vocation.

After the "Letter from Reykjavik," a thriving city, the interview with historian José Enrique Ruiz-Domènec is also a commitment to an intelligent reunion with the past. The same understanding runs through the pages of "Artes & Co" and "De autor." From Voltaire to Giorgio Bassani, the desire to live as a savoir faire of intuitions and knowledge; the profound transitions in Poland, which celebrates one hundred years of the recovery of its independence in 1918; the remote majesty of Mesopotamia; the finesse of Claude Débussy and, as a pressing present, the evolution of a city like Culiacán, vital despite narcoviolence, to end by asking ourselves to what extent tweets and retweets influence the existential forms of a world that is groping in the dark for a balance between classical humanism and technoscience.
