Fundació Catalunya Cultura launches a new edition of the Impulsa Cultura program, a free annual training, mentoring, and acceleration project that provides participants with resources to boost Catalan cultural projects. Interested initiatives can register until February 16. From among the proposals, a jury will select the winner of the Impulsa Cultura 2025 Award, endowed with 15,000 euros, which will be presented during the Nit de l'Empresa i la Cultura.
The program will begin on March 11 and will consist of three phases. After a series of collective training sessions, individualized mentoring will begin for the ten selected projects. In these mentoring sessions, a group of thirty experts and professionals from the sector will analyze the management and sustainability of each cultural initiative presented. Finally, from among all the proposals, five finalists will be selected to present their project during the Nit de l'Empresa i la Cultura, which will be held on October 14.
The winner of the program will be announced during this gala, the annual event that brings together the Catalan cultural and business landscape. At this gala, not only will the Impulsa Cultura award be presented, but The New Barcelona Post, as a collaborating entity of the foundation, will also grant an award to one of the finalists of the Impulsa Cultura program. In addition, Fundació Catalunya Cultura will present two Empresa Cultura awards, a title that recognizes the work of two companies, one SME and one larger company, for their contribution and promotion of culture. Finally, Barcelona Global, also as a collaborating entity of the foundation, will select a cultural proposal from the Impulsa community.
In its last edition, Impulsa Cultura awarded the initiative Brava Arts, the creative space installed in an old ceramic factory in La Bisbal de l'Empordà. It also recognized the work of the Integrated High-Performance Dance School, promoted by David Yudes, to whom the jury awarded a special mention. The director of Brava Arts, Nacha Delpiano, believes that, beyond the award, "getting out of the daily routine and dedicating time to thinking about the project accompanied by professionals is already a prize in itself."
The foundation, established on October 23, 2014, and currently chaired by Eloi Planes, has accompanied and advised nearly 300 cultural projects in its decade of history. In total, the foundation has awarded more than 450,000 euros in cultural prizes and has offered more than 1,500 hours of free training to cultural initiatives.
