Nits en Viu is the summer cycle of this space in Barcelona that, year after year, features tribute concerts to honor great bands and songs of all time. Queen's Nights is the night of pop divas, Fiesta Caribe the most Latin, Rock&Grill the perfect one for the city's rockers and Fritanga! is the event for Catalan rumba and the most relaxed party.
Until August 30, 2026, Poble Espanyol will host 30 live concerts that invite attendees to take an outdoor musical journey.
Fiesta Caribe: the tropical rhythm of August Wednesdays
Wednesday nights are dedicated to the energy of the Caribbean. Fiesta Caribe proposes a journey through salsa, bachata, reggaeton and dembow. The proposal begins with open dance classes taught by specialized teachers who teach the key steps to attendees.
Among the concerts, the performances of the renowned Cuban singer and songwriter Yadira Ferrer stand out, who will offer three concert nights, as well as two evenings by the Latin-Caribbean band Euro Salsa. The event is complemented by a selection of typical Caribbean dishes and a very refreshing cocktail menu.
Rock&Grill: rock and grill on Thursdays in Montjuïc
August Thursdays are reserved for lovers of electric guitars and the most powerful sound. Rock&Grill is one of the leading events within the city's rock offer. Over six nights, a total of 12 tribute bands pay homage to the best-known formations in the history of rock and heavy metal.
The August program includes performances by Attitude for Destruction (tribute to Guns N' Roses), Rosie’s in Hemm (tribute to AC/DC), Tyrants (tribute to Judas Priest), Halloweed be the Beast (tribute to Iron Maiden), Fight Fire (tribute to Metallica) and Motörhits (tribute to Motörhead). The pairing for this night could not be other than a grilled gastronomic proposal, with American-style ribs, grilled burgers and abundant beer.
In a special way, Sunday, August 30 will host the RockpelsXuklis charity day. A charity concert will be held, the proceeds of which will go entirely to AFANOC (Association of Children with Cancer). This event will feature performances by Barrena (tribute to Barricada) and Los Suevos (tribute to Los Suaves).
In addition, throughout the month, the venue will have an information point where people can collaborate by buying solidarity products to support families and young people affected by this disease.
Queens’ Nights: tribute to pop divas on August Fridays
Fridays are tinged with a more festive and nostalgic touch thanks to Queen's Night. This event is dedicated to the female voices that have marked the history of pop music with tributes to music greats like Tina Turner, the mythical band ABBA (with the show Golden Dream) and the unforgettable Amy Winehouse.
The concerts review the great pop hits of recent decades, and are accompanied by special decorations and very careful lighting to give it that "poppy" and festive touch.
Fritanga!: Catalan rumba, party and tapas on August Saturdays
Nits en Viu closes the week on Saturday with our most native genre: Catalan rumba. The event Fritanga! is designed to celebrate music and tapas culture in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The live program features well-known Barcelona rumba artists such as David Canal, Alma de Boquerón and the full band of Piratas Rumbversions. But, after the performances, the music continues with sessions by DJ Txarly Brown and Dj Txarnego. And for eating, the gastronomy of this night honors the name of the cycle with a selection of fried foods, typical tapas, wine and mojitos.
Espai Village: afternoon drinks, gastronomy and outdoor cocktails
One of the big bets for this summer is the expansion of the Espai Village. The Tent and the Picnic have been remodeled and unified to form an outdoor leisure area surrounded by vegetation and designed for maximum comfort.
The Village experience starts at 8:00 PM, when the doors of the venue open. There, you can enjoy a gastronomic offer that bets on local products, and that adapts to the theme of each day. The gastronomy is complemented by a specialized cocktail bar where mojitos, mixed drinks, very cold wines and freshly poured beer are not lacking.
The Village features music sessions by local DJs, so you can enjoy a relaxed moment before and after the concert, as the space is open until midnight.
