Mercadona plans to hire a total of 1,240 people during the 2023 summer campaign, which begins in May and extends until September. The chain's objective is to reinforce the staff during a period that coincides with the arrival of tourists and the vacations of the rest of the personnel.
The initial salary for the job position offered by the company is 1,507 gross euros per month. It is also specified that no previous experience is required, as the company itself provides specific training adapted to each position.
Of the more than 1,200 positions offered in Catalonia, 500 are for establishments located in the regions of Barcelona, 400 in Tarragona, 300 in Girona, and 40 in Lleida.
According to Mercadona, all job offers for this summer are already available on its digital platform, where the job conditions and remuneration are described. The chain has a network of 250 supermarkets in Catalonia, where it employs 14,615 people and operates three logistics centers in the municipalities of Abrera, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, and Sant Esteve Sesrovires.
