One of the changes driven by the pandemic has been digitalization, also in hospitals, after the acceleration experienced by telemedicine with the aim of reducing the risk of contagion.
At Hospital Clínic, during the toughest moments of confinement, up to 110 daily meetings were held, with nearly 10,000 hours of videoconferencing. Faced with this scenario, it has launched a digitalization project with Logitech. It will serve to improve communications among the more than 5,500 professionals who make up the healthcare institution, as well as the relationships between healthcare staff and their patients.
Specifically, the quality of virtual meetings of clinical committees among doctors, where the status of patients is discussed, will be improved, as well as in different coordination tasks for medical, healthcare, and administrative staff, to streamline the daily operations of the healthcare entity. It will also be used for training tasks.
For now, several rooms have been equipped with new cameras and touch controllers. Throughout this year, the project is expected to expand with 100 more rooms.
