Barcelona will once again feature the Llums de Sant Pau light show in its calendar of Christmas events this year. This third edition, however, will come with novelties, which include an ice rink and a giant Christmas tree. The event will open its doors on November 21 and can be visited until January 14.
Access to the light show will be granted at half-hour intervals, between 6 PM and 9:30 PM. It can be visited any day of the week, with the exception of specific days during the Christmas holidays, as it will be closed on December 24 and 31, and January 5.
The new ice rink will be installed inside the venue and those who wish to glide on the icy surface must pay five euros extra compared to the general admission ticket for the exhibition, and will be able to skate for 20 minutes.
Large tree and tió
This year's edition of Llums de Sant Pau will also feature a 16-meter-tall Christmas tree, which is already installed and largely decorated. In addition, the exhibition will include a nativity scene, and the youngest visitors will also enjoy its particular Christmas magic with a large tió.
This will be the third edition of the event, which in its first two has registered more than 400,000 visitsUniting these Christmas traditions with lighting innovation, the light installations will also take the form of large toys and gifts. This year's proposal also includes a videomapping and a 20-meter tunnel of lights, in a visit culminating in a recreation of the North Pole.
This will be the third edition of the event, which in its first two has registered more than 400,000 visits. Again, Llums de Sant Pau and the Banc de Sang i Teixits have conspired to promote blood donation around this initiative. Thus, donation marathons will be organized and free tickets will be offered to donors for this particular light event that is already part of the Christmas calendar of the Catalan capital.
