Kärcher locates its Southern European headquarters in Catalonia

The company invests three million euros in a new corporate headquarters in Granollers with capacity for 200 employees

The German family business Kärcher, one of the world leaders in professional, domestic, and garden cleaning equipment, is betting on the Barcelona area. The company inaugurated this Tuesday a new corporate headquarters of 1,400 square meters in Granollers where it has located its headquarters for the countries of Southern Europe, from which it will manage the teams in Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, and Israel.

The new headquarters has involved an investment of three million euros and will also operate as "a cleaning technology hub." It is located in the Font del Ràdium industrial park, where the company already has two warehouses, and consists of an office area, a service area, and a warehouse. The headquarters has capacity for about 200 employees and, currently, a total of 13 work there. The forecast is to incorporate five more workers this year.

According to sources from the multinational, this investment boosts the strategic role of the Granollers center, also the main headquarters for Spain. Likewise, it must serve to prepare the subsidiary to assume the growth expected by the group in the coming years, with the aim of reaching 100 million in turnover within a horizon of five to ten years.

Kärcher Spain has become one of the ten best subsidiaries of the company, out of the 80 it has spread throughout the world. It has done so after reaching the highest revenues in its history in 2022, with 65 million euros, an accumulated growth of 20% in the last five years. A record year also globally, with a turnover of 3,161 million euros.

The subsidiary has a workforce of 176 employees in the country, where it began operating more than 30 years ago. In addition to the main headquarters in Granollers, where it concentrates 90 employees, the company has seven delegations, called Kärcher centers, in Madrid, Vitoria, A Coruña, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, Malaga, and Valencia.
