Stock control and having the entire purchasing and sales process digitized is absolutely necessary for any business, especially if it also sells online. Having the maximum information at all times not only saves costs for companies, but also improves customer service and can be a differential factor when facing the strong competition that exists in the market. The Barcelona-based startup StockAgile was born, precisely, to offer businesses software that allows them to manage and optimize stock and resources throughout the entire supply chain, uniting the online world with the physical one.
It is an all-in-one, cloud-based program that allows small and medium-sized businesses and brands to digitize all their processes and operate efficiently both through their physical store, as well as on their own online sales platform or through third-party marketplaces. StockAgile has already validated its software with more than 40 clients and is now ready to scale the model and internationalize its technological solution. "Our goal is to become the world leaders in the retail management and omnichannel sales market," says Miquel Subirats, founder and CEO of the Catalan firm. According to the entrepreneur, "StockAgile is a key piece for the digitalization of commercial companies" and, especially now, "that the role of e-commerce is gaining more strength than ever."
In this context, with the aim of materializing its ambitious growth plans, the startup has just closed a 400,000 euro round in which Angels, the investment company of Mercadona's president and owner, Juan Roig, participated. The Barcelona-based investment groups 4Founders Capital and Itnig have also joined StockAgile's shareholding. 4Founders is the venture capital created by four successful entrepreneurs from the Catalan capital's entrepreneurial ecosystem: Jesús Monleon, Marc Badosa, Javier Pérez-Tenessa and Marek Fodor. In parallel, Itnig has been promoted by the creators of Factorial and Parkimeter.
This financing round comes after Stock Agile was selected last January by Lanzadera, the Valencian startup accelerator also promoted by Juan Roig. "At Angels, we invest in entrepreneurial leaders who think about the customer and anticipate," says Pepe Peris, general director of Angels.
StockAgile, which has experienced strong growth during the pandemic thanks to the boom in online sales, is a company founded by brothers Miquel (CEO) and Joan Subirats (CTO) and has also incorporated Oriol Vinzia as co-founder and sales director into its team. Vinzia had been the commercial director of Groupalia and CEO of Andjoy.
In addition to the three funds, part of the 400,000 euros raised has been contributed by business angels such as Horacio Martos ---co-founder of Social Point--- and businessman Álvaro Rocabayera. StockAgile plans to allocate these resources to boost the commercial and marketing area so that its cloud software can be adopted by many more companies, both wholesale and retail, in Spain and internationally.
