Itinera, the first music festival in the micro-towns of Catalonia that aims to generate equal opportunities throughout the territory, was awarded the Impulsa Cultura prize by the Fundació Catalunya Cultura in 2021. Created by the Association of Micro-towns of Catalonia and Aktive, it is a new cultural project, open and inclusive, for which the knowledge acquired during the foundation's Impulsa Cultura program has been essential for its success. The learning provided by the Impulsa Cultura program has accelerated the project's growth and confirmed the festival's viability. Being able to speak with speakers from different fields and apply their knowledge, besides being immensely fortunate, has given us a much more peripheral vision of the project, allowing us to work with medium-term planning, and at the same time, make a leap towards business strength. Likewise, the Impulsa Cultura program has given us visibility to create new alliances with companies from different sectors that share the same objectives and collaborate with the festival. Some of them are Parlem, Mussap, SDLI, Voltea, and Runrún, who supported the project from its beginnings, and later, others like Moventia and Damm have joined.Order, tranquility, balance, capacity for diversification and simplification in messages are other factors that have given value to Itinera thanks to the training program of the Fundació Catalunya Cultura.Itinera is astartupcultural and this year it has grown more than 50% in Catalonia. We are preparing the first editions in other territories such as the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community, Occitania and Sardinia, among others, with the support of various institutions and patrons, in order toto promote local talent and foster cultural exchange between different European regions. This growth allows us to consolidate the business project with economic solidity that facilitates our commitment to future expansion. In addition, it represents a significant increase in labor movement both for people directly linked to the project and for participating artists.
As an example of the festival's projection, it is worth noting that from 2021 to 2022 we have gone from 105 to 150 concerts, and from 8,000 to 14,000 spectators. The forecast for 2023 is to reach 200 concerts and 18,000 spectators.
From Itinera, we aim to consolidate the brand by creating different products and partnerships, such as Art als Micropobles, with the United Nations Association; Packs Culturals, with Club TRESC and Escapada Rural; and Off Itinera, for cultural exchanges between the rural and urban worlds.
