The film producer, screenwriter, and director Isona Passola will be the first president of the Ateneu Barcelonès, a foundation with more than 160 years of history. This was proclaimed by the Ateneu's electoral commission, after the deadline for submitting candidacies for the elections to its board of directors ended on Monday.

Specifically, one candidate was presented for each of the corresponding positions. After verifying that all candidates met the established eligibility requirements and that only one had been presented per position, the electoral commission definitively proclaimed the members of the Reactivem l'Ateneu candidacy, led by Passola, as elected candidates.
The Ateneu highlighted that the members of this candidacy will form the board of directors with the most female presence in history. The members who complete it are Lluïsa Julià (first vice-president), Genís Roca (second vice-president), Ricard Faura (secretary), Pedro Santos (deputy secretary), Teresa Mañà (librarian), Elisabet Cirici (conservator), Daniel Faura (treasurer-accountant), Joan Safont (first vocal), Rosa Maria Malet (second vocal), Jordi Jiménez (third vocal), Paula Przybylowicz (fourth vocal), Laura Feliu (fifth vocal), Marià de Delàs (sixth vocal) and Carme Gual (seventh vocal).
Soon, the Ateneu's board of directors will convene a general assembly in which the elected officials will take office as the new board of directors.
