New professional stage for Gemma Sorigué, who has almost 20 years of experience in digital businesses and e-commerce. The Catalan executive has just signed on as general director of InfoJobs, where she replaces Román Campa, who will now focus on his functions as CEO of the Adevinta Spain group, owner of leading Internet brands such as InfoJobs, Fotocasa, habitaclia, coches.net, motos.net and Milanuncios.
Sorigué has been working for the last year in the Andorran distribution group Pyrénées, where she has served as director of the e-commerce division. Previously, she had developed her career in the companies Atrapalo.com, Emagister.com, LetsBonus and Deliberry, a startup of which she was also a co-founder.
A graduate in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Barcelona and with a Master's in Marketing from the Pompeu Fabra University, Sorigué has received numerous awards and recognitions in recent years, both for her entrepreneurial facet with Deliberry and for becoming a female reference in leadership.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to lead a platform like InfoJobs. The work that the entire team is carrying out to position us as a leading technology company in the employment sector is excellent and I am convinced that we will achieve all the goals we have on the horizon to take InfoJobs to another level," explained Sorigué. The executive will also be part of the Adevinta Spain management committee along with the rest of the executives from the company's various marketplaces.
In the last year, InfoJobs has published more than 2 million vacant job positions. It has 40 million visits each month (more than 80% come from mobile devices) and nearly 6 million active users.
Headquartered in Barcelona's 22@ district and with 1,100 employees, Adevinta Spain is the company heir to the old paper classified ad magazines and newspapers. It belongs to a group that has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since 2019 and is the result of the spin-off of the publishing group Schibsted Media Group. The multinational operates in fifteen countries and its ad and job portals receive 3 billion visits each month.
