Economic resources for the Founderz entrepreneurship school, created in 2020 by Pau Garcia-Milà and Anna Cejudo. The educational startup defines itself as "an online business school" that allows learning "everything one needs to successfully undertake." It applies the microlearning methodology, which allows students to learn at their own pace at any time or anywhere, as the teaching is based on practical video sessions of 5 to 20 minutes, so with half an hour of daily dedication, the course can be followed.
Founderz has just closed a financing round of 430,000 euros that has been led by Oryon Universal, an investment firm in technology-based startups based in 22@ and directed by Victor Giné. Among Oryon's twenty portfolio companies are also DoGood People, Yumminn, and Onalabs.
According to Founderz, the funds raised in this round will be used to expand the team of the subscription-based online school, which currently consists of twelve people. The portfolio of courses available in microlearning format will also be increased, and the company's presence in Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, and Chile will be consolidated to later initiate international expansion into new markets. In its first year of life, about 2,000 students have passed through Founderz.
"This round will mark a turning point in the development and growth of our program: after validating our training for entrepreneurs in microlearning format, we now want to lead this market niche," says Pau Garcia-Milà, co-founder and CEO of Founderz. García-Milà was the creator in 2005 of the technology company eyeOS, which was acquired by Telefónica in 2014. Other projects he has promoted include Cool Bananas.
Victor Giné, from Oryon Universal, points out that Founderz "is a strategic project" for the investment group, as it represents "a direct way to detect hidden digital talent and bet on it." "In addition ---he adds---, it is an online school that provides tools to learn to undertake, train in skills with greater market demand, and develop their full potential to boost their own project."
One of the new courses that Founderz will offer is an "online master's degree" on Blockchain and Business in Web3 developed in alliance with the digital asset and cryptocurrency trading platform Binance.
