Fiatc Residencias has closed the purchase of the CRAL Sant Just residence, located in Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona) and with a trajectory of more than twenty years of experience. It is a center for 27 people that allows Fiatc to enter a new market segment: that of small-sized residences that seek to offer assisted accommodation in a more familiar environment. "We do not rule out carrying out similar operations in the future," highlights the insurance group, which has a plan underway to increase its presence in this sector.
With this acquisition, the Fiatc subsidiary now manages four residential centers for the elderly, totaling 487 residential places and 105 day center places. In addition, it has 32 serviced apartments, with a total team of 251 professionals. The residences are located in Sant Just Desvern (CRAL), Sant Cugat del Vallès (Cugat Natura), Cornellà de Llobregat (Blau Almeda) and Mollet del Vallès (Les Masies de Mollet).
The Fiatc group, chaired by Joan Castells, announces that in the coming years it plans to continue expanding its offer in the Barcelona area and in other areas of the country, with projects already underway that will allow it to have a total of six residences with 787 places. One of the residences scheduled to open soon is called Mirador de Gràcia, on Vallpar street in Barcelona.
According to Fiatc Residencias, "the purchase of the CRAL center will not mean any alteration in the service offered to residents and their families, nor in its conditions, just as the team of twenty professionals who currently care for the elderly residents remains unchanged."
Fiatc Residencias offers comprehensive assistance to autonomous or dependent people over 65 years of age in its own centers with an assistance model it calls Person-Centered Care (PCC), with a philosophy that includes "close, personalized and respectful treatment, quality of service and a spirit of continuous improvement hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team expert in elderly care."
The Fiatc Seguros group closed the 2021 financial year with a premium income volume of 772.86 million euros, a figure that represents an increase of 6.15% compared to the previous year, higher than the increase achieved in 2020 (+5.46%). Once again, the company grew above the sector average, which stood at 5%. The Barcelona-based insurer recorded a net profit of 15.46 million, a figure that rises to 17.43 million in terms of the consolidated group, that is, taking into account its subsidiaries.
