EU Business School aims to reach 4,000 students in Barcelona with its third campus

The business school has invested three million euros in its new facilities, located in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and distributed in two contiguous buildings totaling 4,000 square meters. The center will be added to the other two it already has in the city, which position Barcelona as its main international campus.

To go from 2,400 students to 4,000 within two to three years. This is the objective that EU Business School in Barcelona has set for itself with the opening of its new campus, with a capacity for 900 students. With 4,000 square meters in two buildings, the new Upper Sarrià Campus has been launched with an investment of three million euros.

This opening represents for the business school a sign of its growth, and responds to the institution's strategic expansion plan in the Catalan capital. Founded in Switzerland in 1973, the school has had a presence in the city for more than three decades, and also has campuses in Geneva and Munich, in addition to its global digital campus, as detailed by the CEO of EU Business School Group, Carl Craen.

The 4,000 square meters of the new campus are distributed in two buildings, of six and four floors joined by an open-plan ground floor. The facilities, equipped with advanced technology, have an auditorium with capacity for 70 people, 23 classrooms, six terraces, areas for group work, and a cafeteria. The property has been leased by the business school with a ten-year contract, extendable to new periods.

In addition to increasing students, the opening of the Upper Sarrià Campus will also allow the institution to expand the courses it offers. Many of them will be linked to AI and data management. "Combining business training with data and AI is crucial. The more we diversify training, the more we ensure that our students are prepared for the future."

With the new facilities, the business school will have a total of more than 10,000 square meters in which to deliver its training programs in Barcelona, also taking into account its facilities on Ganduxer street and Diagonal avenue. All of them, like the rest of EU Business School campuses, have been part of Omnes Education Group, a leader in private higher education in France, since 2022. With the current 2,400 students, Barcelona is already the largest EU Business School campus globally; with the opening of the new facilities, the Barcelona campus of the business school aims to go further and attract more international students.

In fact, of the 2,400 students at the business school in Barcelona, 95% come from abroad. The students, who represent 130 nationalities, are educated exclusively in English, in programs that include internationally recognized bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and MBAs. "Barcelona is a very attractive destination," and not only for the sun and the sea, but for its startup ecosystem and events like the Mobile World Congress, according to Craen. "It is the perfect place for international students, and Barcelona has the challenge of retaining that talent," he said: "We have to be the California of Europe."
